SecureNet Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets forth the guidelines and restrictions for use of the Internet access and related services (“Services”) provided by WV AirNet, LLC d/b/a SecureNet (“SecureNet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). All subscribers and users of our Services (“you,” “your,” “Subscriber”) are required to comply with this AUP.
Use of the Services constitutes acceptance of this AUP, which is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.
- Purpose
The purpose of this AUP is to ensure that all Subscribers use the Services responsibly, lawfully, and in a manner that does not interfere with the rights of others or the operation of SecureNet’s fiber network.
- Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services for activities that are illegal, harmful, or disruptive. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal Use
- Using the Services to violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation.
- Infringing upon intellectual property rights, including unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material.
- Participating in fraudulent or deceptive activities (e.g., phishing, identity theft).
- Network Abuse
- Engaging in activities that interfere with, degrade, or disrupt the integrity of SecureNet’s fiber network or other networks connected to it.
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data.
- Unsolicited Communications
- Sending spam, bulk unsolicited email, junk mail, or other unwanted communications.
- Operating mail servers or open proxies for the purpose of sending spam.
- Security Threats
- Introducing viruses, malware, or any malicious code into the network.
- Running servers or services that create a security vulnerability.
- Misuse of Service
- Reselling or redistributing the Services without written authorization.
- Excessive consumption of network resources that interferes with other subscribers’ use of the Services.
- Sharing your service outside your household or business premises without SecureNet approval.
- Subscriber Responsibility
- You are responsible for the actions of all users who access the Services through your account, including family members, guests, and employees.
- You must protect the security of your account credentials and devices connected to the SecureNet network.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your devices do not harm the network or other users.
- Enforcement & Violations
- SecureNet may investigate suspected violations of this AUP.
- If a violation is confirmed, SecureNet may take actions including but not limited to:
- Issuing a warning;
- Suspending or restricting access to Services;
- Terminating Services;
- Notifying law enforcement, regulators, or other appropriate parties.
- You remain responsible for all fees and charges incurred before suspension or termination.
- No Liability
SecureNet is not responsible for the content of any communications transmitted through its network, nor for the actions of its Subscribers. You are solely responsible for your use of the Services.
- Updates
SecureNet may modify this AUP at any time. Updates will be posted on SecureNetFiber.com, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
